Upcoming Events

The Friends of the Groton Public Library is a non-profit group of community members who support and enhance the programs, services, and materials available at the library. Here are some of the things that the Friends do:

  • The annual Used Book Sale in May is the principal fund-raiser for the Friends. Click here for donation guidelines.
  • The Perpetual Book Sale - in the lower level lobby is a bookcase of used paperbacks for $1.00 each.
  • Passes to sixteen museums, paid for by the Friends, are available to check out.
  • Toys and prizes for the Summer Reading Program are purchased with Friends' funds.
  • The Friends provide funding for Summer Reading programs.

Meetings:
The first Tuesday of each month (excluding July & August) at 7:30 PM, in the Community Room (lower level) at the library. Everyone is welcome - we want and need your participation, and this is a great opportunity to connect with other library-lovers!

Membership:
Single membership: $15 / Family membership: $25 (includes a book bag each year)

Dues are paid annually in May in conjunction with the Used Book Sale. Membership forms are available at the Circulation Desk. Members are welcome at all meetings to exchange ideas and vote on the distribution of funds.
